SPECTRUM’S Successful First Annual Fundraising Walk!
To raise money for our annual amazing residential trip, we kicked off our fundraising for the year with our first ever 10km Sponsored Walk on Saturday 8th December! We planned a route around London which started at UCL, passing through the City of London, the Southbank, past the London Eye, Buckingham Palace and through St James’ Park, before returning to the UCL campus. Of course, no walk is complete without fancy dress. The costumes ranged from walking Christmas trees and bananas, to skiers and dinosaurs. Despite the rain and strong winds, we all managed to return back in one piece, after blasting Christmas music throughout the streets of London and spreading the festive cheer. One thing was certain – we ALL had a blast and all for a fantastic cause too!
Thanks to generous donations, we are two-thirds of the way towards reaching our target of £3000. However, with more support, we are confident we can reach this target by the end of the year! Anything donated, large or small, is sure to make a positive impact on the lives of our children and young people.
